MUBENDE
Our first Uganda project was in the city of Mubende with Pastors Blasio and Pauline Senkoma. In recent years we have added 2 additional pastors to ministry there.
Seeds of Hope was one of our first outreaches in this city. Pigs and Goats were provided for 7 of the villages just prior to Covid 19 lockdown. This resource is still providing for the villages. Goats have also been given to villages as well. They provide food, housing, and school fees for these moms and children.
Since 2020 a church has been constructed, a sewing Center established and a Soccer team that has occupied the time and talents of over 200 youth. Keeping them off the streets and giving them a biblical education as well as community awareness.
Prior to the Covid Lockdown the Mubende church had about 45 people. When the lockdown was lifted that number had grown to over 200 and is still growing. People are continually coming to Jesus through the Senkoma’s and their impact on the children. Pastor Pauline and another person have started a school “Hands of Love” which is also impacting the community. Additionally, churches in the area have come to them for oversight. Pastor Blasio oversees 48 churches at last count..
The youth, adults of the church, and soccer team are changing the city. Each month they clean the streets of the city which is changing the atmosphere.
Currently we also pay for a Radio program that goes throughout Uganda sharing the gospel message Our fees for the Radio are $250 per month.
